Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Your observations are correct. The fact that you have the multi-product does not help you out to my knowledge. The idea of multi-product unlock deals with applying two or more products at the same time.

I will present two approaches. The first may or may not be possible with an Integra. The second is possible with any display that can work with the Liquid Module.

With an InCommand and possibly an Integra, it is possible to use a reference map from a previous operation in the background. This can be helpful to get auto swath to behave as you wish.

As you have noticed when you switch spray products a new map is created. This can cause confusion with auto swath. If you are using auto swath it will shut off the booms for you under certain circumstances such as driving out of the boundary but most commonly if the area has already been sprayed with the CURRENT product. Note the word Current Product. This works fine if the entire field is done with the same product.

If part way through the field, you switch products, auto swath will shut off the booms in areas where the then CURRENT product has been applied. It will not shut off the booms where any other previous product has been applied.

This means if you should spray around a field with Product A to spray the Headlands and then start spraying the field proper everything is fine as far as auto swath goes. Auto swath will shut off some of the booms for pointed areas and shut off all booms over the headlands. After you turn around and proceed back on the next pass, it will turn them back on progressively or all at once depending on the situation.

When you switch to Product B, the map is cleared and the booms will still shut off where Product B has been applied. It will not shut off the sections where Product A has been applied such as the Headlands. You could of course, shut them on/off manually with the Master or section switches. You would likely want to use auto swath.

The remedy to this situation at least with the displays that can handle it, is to use a reference map from the past. In this example, you would use the reference map that was created for the application of Product A. Then auto swath will shut off the booms in areas that are outside the field boundary, have already been sprayed with Product B or have already been sprayed with Product A.

So in the example above when spraying the part of the field with Product B, the booms will be shut off progressively or all at once when the sprayer encounters the Headland or any area if it has been sprayed with either Product A or Product B. The maps will remain separate.

You could print them out on paper to give you an idea of each area. Between the two coverage maps you would see what areas were sprayed with Product A and which areas were sprayed with Product B.

Here's another approach that I used with my Insight which did not have reference map capability. Chose a Product name that pertains to the entire field such as Wheat Spray. This product will be used for the entire field. Auto swath will work properly since only one product is involved.

When starting the field choose a Region and name it with the first product. Spray the Headlands and start spraying the field proper. When you run out of that product, switch to a new Region and name it with the second product. Finish spraying the field. Should you wish to return to Product A again, simply change the Region back to that product. The Region names will be in a list to choose from.

The downside to this approach is that you will not be able to see the two different regions as different colors on the display screen. The coverage map will show the areas that were sprayed with one product or the other but there would be no distinction between the two. The rate map will show the applied rate in various colors as usual but the product will be listed as Wheat Spray.

You will likely want a map for future analysis. The trick here is to process the maps through software such as SMS. SMS will allow you to show the map legend colors based on regions. This means the coverage map for Product A might be green and the coverage map for Product B might be red. This map can be printed on paper and hand carried with you in the combine or used for later analysis.

When combining, it would be possible to use the Region idea again by manually changing regions based on your printed maps. This would not be done automatically

I used this procedure when I wished to try some Headline. I sprayed a soybeans field with a product called Soybean Spray. I chose a Region and named it "Without Headline" When I had finished the tank, I refilled and carried a jug of Headline with me. I sprayed out enough so that the remaining tank volume would cover the acres in the Headline jug. I dumped in the Headline and let it agitate for a bit. I changed to a new Region which I named "With Headline". I sprayed out that tank and refilled to finish the field. I switched back to the Region "Without Headline".

I printed out the maps and carried them with me in the combine. I decided that the Headline did not increase my yields in that field.

As far as losing the AB lines, in general the lines are associated with the field and should have been available if they were saved. I'm not certain how SmartPath fits into this though. With saved AB lines, you should have been able to reload them. This would not be a problem with my second approach since the product name would not be changed and the AB lines would still be visible.
