SWMN | I think I follow everything you are trying to do, and I will do my best to explain the processes that I know. Disclaimer, I used to work for AGCO and was very familiar with their guidance products until I left there in 2019.
Both of the AGCO tractors will function the same whether they are using NovAtel or Trimble. Both brands of recievers on those machines provide position data only. That position data is fed to the tractor's VD03 (guidance controller) which processes it for vehicle steering and also the exporting of NMEA position data to your AgLeader monitors. You can absolutely share waylines between the tractors. I am unsure if you can do that in real time, but that feature may have been added after I left and would likely require a subscription to AGCOmmand or something similar. As a workaround, I knew of custom harvesters using Gleaner S9 combines with that guidance setup, where the first combine would make a guidance line and tell the line coordinates to the other machines over 2 way radio.
From there, if you want to share coverage maps on the AgLeader, that will have to be done through AgLeader. I know that can be done as well, but you will have to talk to AgLeader to figure out what that takes to accomplish.
You could also choose to run steering through AgLeader as well to share guidance lines, but that would be a very expensive option as you would need all new receivers for the AgLeader to steer. | |
