North Central Oregon | Near record low snowpack in the Northwest this winter. Oregon and Washington many areas at less than 45% of normal. I saw the Yakima basin had about 10” of water in their current snowpack and should be at close to 25”. Seeing some ski areas have already closed for the season after being open only a few weeks. May be a tough summer for those who depend on snow runoff for irrigation. Possibly a bad fire year ahead as well. | |
