Wisconsin | Brazil made a choice to be more self sufficient in energy. And an interesting choice as I've heard most of their alcohol is sugar cane based, and hand labor intensive at that. CNG is also huge in South America, they are much more cost conscious than the (domestic) American consumer.
I was walking around a plaza one Sunday morning and a bunch of old ladies were out collecting plastic bottles and tying them up into bunches on a string. I thought that was interesting recycling. Then later I wandered by the alcohol store and there were those bundles of bottles tied up on string, next to the tote of alcohol! | |
