100 acres needed a dewatering pump running 365 days a year
Didn't realize that was a thing.........on farm ground anyway.
What size of pump..........or maybe more importantly, how much would it cost to run that pump on an annual basis? I'm assuming it's electric??
On this farm a tile dewatering pump runs 365 ---I'm guessing 10 HP---no idea electric cost AND when it rains a bunch have a 16" PTO pump
we pull the 16" we have with a 120 HP tractor
To run this system 100% electric probably need to add 40 HP pump BUT single phase electricity is 1/2 mile away ---big wire to run 50 HP
We are experienced dewaters ----
Worst thing (besides the electric cost) with this farm and the others we pump water off the pumps are 1 mile+ off the main road
Got to keep the pumps maintained and working lightening strikes and all --
-a little less painful than having livestock
