east central ND | I would have a hard time calling everything west of the Red River Valley as being “out west”. Where exactly would you call the east /west line?. Although “central” might be a better discription for the large middle of ND, no “central” for this discussion….hehehe.

For others that have no idea what we are bantering about, way eastern and way western ND are very different places. The middle 1/3 or more of the state is a mixed bag with areas of good farmland, and areas that are ranches. It’s always been a bit contentious as to exactly where east meets west…….
Edit: a lot of eastern folks in ND use the Missouri going form South Dakota north past Bismarck as a line. We often just forget it heads west, way west.
