NW Indiana | Options are buying time. There is a ton of time before a drought will be a concern so no point in buying time right now. It was late june in 2012 before the market cared and that was coming off a short crop in 2011. In order to be long a call option you need to believe the market is about to make a sizeable move in a shorter time period to increase volatility. As morningdew said the best option right now is crop insurance. Any crop concerns are months away. | |
