NCKS
Judging a "drought" by bushels is kind of a moving target. According to the drought monitor, we can slip into D0 from time to time and still grow decent crops as long as it doesn't hit at wrong time. If we're in D1 in July/August all but certain an insurance claim. D2/D3 cowboys are hauling water all summer and everything besides the deep bottom ground is a complete crop failure. Year 2 of D2/D3 the deep bottom ground is left unharvested also. Never have seen a D4.
