perryton, tx | Our wheat got off to a fantastic start but it got really big in the fall even though it was planted relatively late. Even on fallow ground some brown spots are starting to show up and where it still looks good there are big cracks in the ground. I’m afraid the sub moisture has already been depleted and if the spring rains don’t come it’s gonna get ugly fast. I guess if there’s one blessing the ground is completely covered so we shouldn’t have to worry about it blowing this week. | |
