You guys cussing the fringe..........surely you realize that the total dollars we are insuring is substantially less than the heart of the corn belt??

I mean, I mentioned in the thread below how I grew 60 bpa this year and was happy. So do some math...........it's not hard to figure out our APH and $$ we're insured for. About the only place we have an advantage, is that we can grow and harvest a lot of acres with fewer people. So at a smaller profit per acre we can still make a living.

But it isn't like we're getting to insure for big $$. And the cost of our insurance percentage wise is quite a bit higher than the more consistent producing acres in our country.
