Several of the fast food places just pay employees with some sort of gift card like deal. They swipe the dollars onto the card and the employee spends it like a credit or debit card.
I presume this is for tennie bopper kids delivering food at Sonic and such. I had a grandson get paid that way. No checking account needed.
