Between lower rainfall and changing hydrology on the lower river, I feel like this is something that’s going to be pretty commonplace going forward.
I’m not on expert, but something about the increasing wetland areas and more permeable silt were allowing exponentially higher recharge rates for the big aquifers, like the Memphis sand aquifer.
How dry corn belt ?
