I totally get where Hick is coming from and I wish they would do away with some things as well. That being said, the farm side of things with regards to USDA is only 1 percent of the overall Government budget? SS & medicare/medicade, defense, infrastructure, & education all have higher subsidies than agriculture. Don't forget big oil, pharma, all the tax breaks to big corporations list goes on...USDA subsidies, crop insurance are a pittance even if they are bad.
