Do farmers get subsidized crop insurance?

The Farmer only pays a portion of the Premium that is necessary to keep the program at a loss ratio of 1:1 IE never makes money.




There are a lot of pjets owned by insurance companies that would be proof to the opposite of that. But oh yeah, that is just a cost of business. No way they could ride around in a King Air.

If there were no subsidies, they would have to price insurance at a actual market cost to sell anything. If they couldn't do that and crop insurance went away
