Wouldn’t go whole hog cutting population. We have planted a half rate the first 20 feet along any tree lines, 3/4 rate the next 20 feet. No point in wasting a bunch of seed there but it doesn’t move the needle as much as you would think. Now most of our owned tree lines that are on north or east sides of the trees have prairie strips or pollinator mixes. Let the government pay us not to farm it.
