 scmn | Not sure where you get you info either. I run 5W-40 in my LMM in the winter and so long as the glow plugs are good it will start at -25F without being plugged in. Now mine has a a tad over 12,000 hours and 430,000 miles on it and it stumbled a little this morning at -5F but that was to be expected given it needs 6 glow plugs.
I was thinking there is something I forgot to due and your post reminded me I was supposed to delete it so it would run. Next week it is getting some maintenance done since the thermostat is stuck and it needs glow plugs. Perhaps at 500,000 I will find time to delete it or maybe I will wait until it has emissions issues. If I wait for emissions issues I might have to run it another 20 years. | |
