Subject: RE: Flood Irrigation Question

NW KS/ SC ID
Given the information updates I think you guys should keep the existing pumping system and run solid set handline, down in the magic valley there are a few farms where they don't even pick up the handline and just swath alongside.mostly pivot corners.

All anyone would have to do at that point is just walk out to the field and open or close a valve.

The dimensions of the field makes the pivots seem silly.

Has there been a community vote on the aesthetic value? Call me a stick in the mud for progress, but I consider flood and handline and wheel lines sort of beautiful but think that pivots are unsightly.

Was there ever talk of paying the farmer to handle everything? I still feel this is the best option, zero labor on your end, and the farmer makes enough to justify dealing with it.

Does your HOA have a policy on cats? Id imagine some communal barn cats for rodent control could be an option for considering the drip tape option.
