Whats funny is as I was reading your first post, this was exactly the spot I thought you were describing. I'm quite familiar with that area.

My guess is, its not gonna get sold as its currently offered. About the only way I see anything happening is to chop it into many segments, each matching the borders of the adjoining tract, and offering it to that landowner and increasingly lower prices until a yes is achieved.

Down here, there used to be several railroads crossing the county that were all pulled up. Every bit of it was sold to the adjoining landowner, added to the existing field, and is currently being farmed. With google maps one can trace where the lines used to run, some fields you can see different colored crop, some fields it blends right in.
