Is the Internet. Everything gets blown out of proportion. My truck is a 23’ duramax, never been plugged in, 50k miles, way more engine hours than normal from idling and guess what, it’s fine. Same thing with all previous trucks with the horrible diesel engines. Same thing with equipment. It’s mechanical, therefore it’s bound to have a failure rate. But it’s nowhere near what some fools on here claim. My experience, new equipment with def is waaay more reliable than dpf only. Don’t like technology, go back to a tractor engine 7.3 that requires ether to start in cold temps or a 350 sbc that struggles to get out of its own way. Don’t want mechanical issues, sell your equipment for a team of mules.

Or live in fear cuz the internet tells you to.
