| I am trying to learn if, performance wise, there is a difference in one head verses a later version. Here's what I think i know. The final versions of the steel "hugger" heads were made till the late 90s. Then poly versions of the head came along around 2000 but they still had model #s like what the steel had (for example, a 830). In the mid 2000s , the poly heads had 3000 embossed on them but still had similar model #s (still 830, for example, in the 8 rows). So, of these(i am not asking about the 3200 version heads that came still later), is there a performance improvement compared to the prior version and, if so, is it significant? For instance, did you notice a big improvement going from an early poly to a later one? To clarify, I am not talking about available options like chopping heads and deck plate adjustments. Just talking about the heads ability to pick corn and move it to the feeder house) As always, thanks for the feedback. | |
