This chart shows temperature ranges for gear oil on a john Deere. Should also be in the manual. Many different viscosities of GL-5. Usually, 85w140 is conventional, 80w140 is synthetic, 80w90 conventional, 75w90 synthetic. Any of those should be available almost anywhere. Package should say GL5 or GL4, both are gear oils but GL5 has more additives.
