We try to be in the 7-10 bushels of realistic yield goal per 1000 seeds dropped and use variable rate prescriptions to put the seed where it needs to be to be best utilized.

At the bottom end of that range if were not improving yields, I'm looking to cut seed costs.   If were consistently at the top end of the range its time to look at putting more seed in the ground.
