Chris, I did not fill the filters first, and honestly never have. I’ve never had an issue. I’ve always just loosened the screw at the pre filter pumped till fuel ran, tightened, pumped a little more and started.
But today, I can’t even get fuel in the separator bowl. See attached.
Oh, you have that one too...that was optional, and it "can" cause more problems. Heard about it from other dealer, never had it myself.
How much fuel in the tank? I would probably start with popping a line off the lower filter, and see if you get any fuel to it. If not, is there any possibility you could have some trash in the tank? There's no screen, but I have seen significant trash get in there, and plug the bottom of the tube...OR, the elbow at the fuel filter housings where the fuel comes from the tank. I think that extra water separator has straight fittings though, so shouldn't be that in this case.
