Subject: RE: Vevor Hydraulic Hose Crimper

If the micrometer adjustment is accurate on it, you may be able to get it to crimp ok with a little homework. With that said, you can buy Weather head T400 crimpers that will do more than the Vevor machine for around a $1000 used most days. And somedays for 400-500 on auction. You will be much happier with that.

A hydraulic hose crimper is one of the best and most profitable things I have in the shop. Be prepared to put $1000 to $1500 worth of ends on the shelf for each size to get basic farm machinery ends. Construction gets much more expensive. Buy from Hose in a Hurry, Discount Hydraulic, or Baum Hydraulic. All are very knowledgeable and will help you get the right hose end combinations to meet OEM crimp specs. All have excellent quality supplies. Do NOT buy hose or ends locally period. Buying supplies from local retailer eats of all the savings. Markup is often 3-5x local over the three companies I mentioned, and the quality is no better. There is always a chorus of people who say it's not worth having a hose machine because you won't save money; these are the people who fail to understand how to source supplies correctly. Also you will see a lot of neighbors when they find out you have one:-)
