Sioux County, NWIA
Presumably synthetic would generate less heat than regular oil.

I’m by no means an expert on MFD hubs but every time I’ve seen a wrecked hub it was either from parts coming loose inside the hub and going through the gears or from a prolonged lack of oil. The gears are just spur gears so oil requirements are not that stringent. Many MFD hubs are specified to be filled with hydraulic oil.
