None of this will happen. Do you want the big city’s to be like they were in the early 80s as far as pollution goes? City’s are more populated than they were then so more smog. I know everyone on this site only thinks about themselves but it’s the reality of it. I know I don’t mind cleaner air in the shop when I have equipment running. Yeah def can be a pain but we have been running def stuff since 12 and it hasn’t really been that bad.
Answer me this:
What percentage of vehicles in said cities were:
Diesel?
Gasoline?
Gasahol?
Propane?
Today what percentage of vehicles in cites are:
Diesel?
Gasoline?
Gasahol?
Propane?
------
Diesel vehicles in the 1980s were a few very poorly received car models that basically didn't sell anything and medium and heavy duty trucks.
Def didn't solve your smog issue. DPF didn't either. Any diesel emissions issue didn't.
Catalytic converters, smog pumps, and ignition timing on Gasoline vehicles solved the smog issues.
If you are going to fear monger, at least give it some thought.
If you are running def equipment in the shop and like it better than non def your sinus system is completely shot. Def exhaust stinks, in more ways than one. |
