We have motors on hand for years. When the big dryer needed a fan motor we had one on the shelf that had been there for at least a decade before we used it with no issues.
That being said, we DID have a motor rebuilt in 2022 that we wanted to use last fall that is now locked up tight. It's going back to the rebuilder to see what is happening with it.
That's the only motor we've had trouble with sitting since I've been here.
