Subject: RE: New bin setup ROI

I may have typed it wrong but I thought I said 1.5X on combines.

I hire my harvest done. He has 3 machines but does some for a few others. I have been saying I have 2.6 machines devoted to me based on the acres.

Keeping harvest costs as low as possible whether you do it yourself or hire it done is all about making sure the combine can keep it’s acres per hour high and making sure it can keep it’s hours per year high without letting the job quality suffer.

If I had the ability to let him start harvesting at 20% moisture I honestly think he could harvest my acres with 2 machines and still have spare capacity to harvest some for others. This is just based on neighbors who have drying capacity and observing how many acres per machine they get compared to how many acres per machine I get.
