No actual knowledge. But like most things. I think some movement yearly would be good. Just twisting shaft with glove. Hands hold salt/moisture. But rotating it Á dozen times might be a good idea. Of course using it might be better. Say a cordless drill to rotate it correctly Á hundred turns?
