Sell at the high and it's dry enough to take out of the field straight to the E plant.
The reality is that doesn't happen every yr.
You need to look at what shrink, dry charge, and storage would cost you
Also if you had to take it to town on a wet year and it's not marketed.
Then look at not starting corn because it's too wet to take to town while it's standing.
Your environment is different than that of NW IA.
Things usually wetter and colder up here.
I'd put up a system that could dry my grain and unload/load it fast.
I wouldn't put up a system to store all the grain.
Start small then add vs doing it all at once.
Any advice on here will not exactly apply to your situation. | |
