Hennepin, IL | I havent read everything, but I've read some of the posts. Somewhere along the line you mentioned having twice the combine capacity now as you would potentially need with this setup. So was that kinda tongue-in-cheek, or would you be able to eliminate a machine? If you could eliminate a machine since harvest would be more spread out, there's an opportunity cost there that you're not figuring in. On the flipside, maintenance will be tied to the bushels you run through the machine(s), so not a savings there, also you'll likely be trading an operator for someone to "manage" the bin site, so for argument's sake a wash there. | |
