I'd say their estimate is pretty close. You also sound like you're in the territory where you could justify a leg. That's a huge bin to hit with an auger and fill with wet corn. Having done it both ways (8"-13" augers and new/old legs) I don't think I'd ever want to go to that large of an auger over a used leg setup. But I don't know your operation.

That's probably a $100k auger that needs a 300hp tractor to run it.

5500bph leg with a 250bu pit can dump a truck of wet corn in 10 minutes for reference. The 13"-84 auger could do a truck of dry corn in 10 minutes, closer to 15 minutes around 21-22% corn. Lose a minute per % moisture on a truckload or so.

Either way try to visualize a leg and loadout setup when/if you build this bin. It's probably coming eventually.
