The problem with this scenarios is, The BTOs have crop insurance to screw it out of, and then the govt won't let them fail.

If Napoleon was running out of food, then all of a sudden food started pouring out of the thin freaking air(govt welfare for the BTO) the battle may have ended differently.

I will say this if the corn market lost a dollar a bushel for the rest of the year, there would be alot of acres under water. You'd see some dramatic changes FAST. There would be some sudden retirements.
