I did with our 7300 vacuum planter. So that would be different from the straight plate type planter. Winter peas would be one you could plant using a plate planter. With our old 51 JD planter I use delinted cotton seed plates for planting purple hull peas.
With the vacuum planter was able to plant a mixter of seeds. I might have been the milo plates I used. Those tillage radishes can be planted with milo plates.
It does add up to a lot of wear on a planter especially planting notill into hard dry ground and dry crop stubble.
