Let's say Emmissions adds 40K to the price of a truck. Over a million mile lifespan thats 4 cents a mile. Let's say it adds 40K to the price of a new tractor. Over a 10,000 hour life it adds $4 an hour. If that tractor is working 30 acres per hour, that adds 14 cents an acre. Etc, etc, etc. You're way overestimating the incremental costs of all this. I'm not saying it's nothing. I'm just saying it's not the world is ending as bad as it's made out to seem. |
