I heard a couple of weeks ago that EU lowered rates and then heard Japan raised rates then ... Maybe things are over for lowering rates. Hmmm

The European Central Bank (ECB) has been lowering interest rates since June 2024, cutting them multiple times to combat high inflation, bringing the deposit rate down from 4% to 2% by mid-2025, but in December 2025, they paused cuts, keeping rates steady as the economy showed surprising resilience and inflation stabilized near their 2% target, with some analysts now suggesting the cutting cycle might be over or nearing an end as risks shift.
