You guys have to remember pork is compared to chicken. That's what the Other White Meat slogan told the consumer from 1987 to 2011. That's an entire generation. Even though they ended the slogan in 2011, damage done. If only our checkoff $ would've went towards comparing pork to beef...
Remember when beef and beef tallow was evil back then. A 16 oz. T-Bone and a slab of butter on a baked potato was a prescription for death. Glad my life was fulfilled with beef and butter the whole time!! |
