I don`t buy USDA that Iowa had a 216 record yield, 216 is kind of an average of many pampered seed trial plots, so in real world 200 was a pretty respectable yield and that was with fungicide. northeast Iowa district did very well because Nicole switched everyone to planting Wyffels from DeKalb ;-)
IDK. There's an awful lot of APH's across the state of Iowa in the 230 and 240's. APH stands for Average Production History. The pampered plots are doing something wrong apparently if there are that many APH significantly higher than them.
