Southern Missouri | Looks like those basic farmland tracts brought about 13500 acre the way they sold it and about 14000 actually farmed acres , no doubt the commercial property in your post a better return but I have some commercial property and don’t want anymore , people can say what they want about farmers , my opinion there’s no better folks to work with on getting paid for your investment and getting paid every year on time , i certainly can not say that about my commercial stuff and as always could just be me , it will be very interesting to see how this today plays out , I like the method Sullivan uses on selling land in tracts , guy that buys first tract can take it all at that price and the auction is over ,I’ve seen those sold like that be over after first tract, makes that first tract pretty interesting , if first tract buyer doesn’t take more than first tract ,they start again and second buyer has same option , keeps going till they’re gone . | |
