| It was absolutely rushed. Ford used the existing f150 truck platform and stuck a battery in it. They didn’t take the time to develop a new platform that would better configure battery placement to gain range capabilities
GM took the extra time to develop a whole new platform to enable a larger battery that supplies more power and range. This is most likely the reason GM EV truck sales are increasing compared to the Lightning
As for a mandate, can you find anyone who was forced to by an EV?
