West Central Iowa | The speed of your runs may vary throughout the field, it also changes with how much water is in the soil. The further from the pump you get the lower your flow is. Where I am we may only go through the runs once and apply roughly 3-5 inches. We can usually get it done in a little over 3 days on an 80. Our well does over 1400gpm, I would guess you could probably pull that much with a river screen. We run an old ford 300 converted to propane. We have run a diesel before, but fuel costs were much higher. | |
