Subject: Old time grain prices

Bottom of the Mitten
How did everyone keep track of grain prices before the internet? Obviously today its just tap a button on the phone and you have all the info you could want. Basis, cbot prices for every grain, futures, etc all for any elevator you want to look up. 24 hours a day. Did people call the elevators multiple times per day to find out? Seems like that would be a full time job for a couple elevator employees just answering phones
