I suppose I disagree. I farm and am partial owner of land my family got in the 1840’s. It’s special to me. I also take my family to their graves and set flowers on Memorial Day, and wonder what things they may have experienced. It’s more of a legacy than most people born in the early 1800’s have. Graves and names long forgotten. That’s part of what makes the land a different investment, and what makes it hard for many of us to make the “smart” financial decision and sell out, moving on to more lucrative things…
And when you are gone, whos going to visit those stones? Probably nobody. I asked where the pre teens buying ground are?
Get rid of the emotional attachment, it will die with you. |
