Several good BBQ places, Franklin's is highly rated. Don't forget the food trucks. They can be quite good and affordable. 

Outside of Austin for food I recommend The Salt Lick for BBQ, Tratoria Lisina for Italian, Hays City Store for food drinks and live music and the Mean-Eyed Cat which has a location in Austin and outside of Austin in Hays City.

No nude swimming at Barton Springs but it is a very unique place. Bats head south to Mexico during the winter.

Farm country to the NE of Austin towns such as Taylor. Corn planting might be started by then. They target Valentines day.

S of Austin about 30 miles is my hometown Wimberley. Lots to see here. Music, drinks and food in a small town. https://www.visitwimberley.com/ 

West of Austin is Pedernales State Park and Hamilton Pool State Natural area. Farther west is the winery area from Johnson City to Fredricksburg.

Weather could be hit or miss, you can never tell in Texas. We were 78 on Saturday and high of 48 yesterday. Back to 78 again by this Thursday.
