| The difference is oil is where oil is so if they want it they pay. If I had an oil well in my back yard, I personally know a handful of oil folks I could lease it to. Like people I have other dealings with and see in town. Some of them are Atleast 3rd generation, it’s a lot like farming.
Green energy companies are not that. I do have friends that work for em, but don’t know anyone with a checkbook. Maybe they will be eventually. But they build where they find the best tax deal for the most part. They can cut and run with no shame and let lawyers handle it.
Oil has made many a community wealthy. It’s a little ugly too, but traffic is minimal. And if one of them drove too fast by my house I probably have his cell number. | |
