central - east central Minnesota - | don@nebr - 12/14/2025 18:40 A year ago had new roof installed using those new fangled shingles that have high percentage of rubber in them( like recycled tires). Couple days ago had 60 to 70 mph wind and after a whole year of heat to no avail. You can hear the pitter patter of roof tabs flapping in the gusts of wind. Is that how they are supposed to be? I cant crawl up there to look . Ladders are out for me as well as walking the roof(. I am not allowed to do that). Just wondering if thats normal behavior or defective sealing shingles? Dont happen often but does under right conditions. Call your contractor that installed them and the shingle company for warranty work . . . The most reputable roofing companies do not use them here in Mn. They have to warranty their work and have had too many call backs. They stick with asphalt shingles with 50 yr unconditional warranty . . . . |
