What about a tough grass like johnson grass?

Does roundup even control water hemp and giant ragweed?  Maybe use the same chemicals that you would use to control it in roundup corn.

After nearly 30 years of roundup corn and soybeans why is foxtail still a problem? Is it a problem in most fields or just a few? What is the soil pH?

We have a few fields that grass other than johnson grass is still a problem mainly due to the fact that this ground gets planted to wheat and sometimes some will go to seed before we get it sprayed.

11 years ago we picked up some fields that there was so much grass seed that we would spray it with roundup then after the next rain there would be 2 or 3 new grass plants on every single square inch of the field.  Group 15 and roundup at corn planting time, then more group 15 at post spray.  Soybeans roundup and group 15 in late April, then more group 15 right after planting in early June. Corn and soybeans would get sprayed with roundup too, to get rid of the grass.  We no longer use a group 15 at corn planting and do not see any grass other than johsongrass when we post spray the corn on 90% of our fields. We got along fine 30 years ago just using dual and atrizine pre on corn for grass control.

Is grass control so much harder in other part of the country which is why this is the third time recently that someone is asking about conventional corn herbicides?
