S Illinois | How are you taking advantage of that $2k land appreciation? I know of no way other than selling. So what good honestly does price appreciation do if one never planned to sell?
Edit: This leads to a bigger question. Does the seeming myopic view of land make farmers perpetually cash poor? Very very few other businesses see their means of production as an asset. They view it as a cost that needs to be minimized or at least only spend enough on it to maximize their return.
