I don't really understand your thought process. We homesteaded where I farm and every generation sacrificed so the next generation will have it better. I don't know of a more honorable or better way of life then production agriculture---even with the Government trying to buy us into socialism. I spend a lot of time with my grandkids, and I encourage them to be little farmers. We could sell out and put it in trusts to finance generations of wealth and watch those easy gotten riches create misery and poor decisions. There are times, like the present, when us paper millionaires can't afford a case of beer, unless it is Keystone, but those are the years that you remember and engrains the farm deep into your soul, where you will protect it from the sparkle of silver and gold.
