SW OH | I still use a few filters with nuts. When they are too tight, the nut breaks off. I foresee a problem in the future with water/fuel separators with a screw on plastic lower half. Even worse are the Davco with a big plastic nut on an aluminum housing. I have the special wrenches for them but they are often too close to the frame and the lines are in the way. Pliers are any help since they squeeze the nut even tighter on the housing. A hammer and wide pry bar works good but eventually you will chop a hole in the nut.
